Attention Propsective Umpires

Monday, December 10, 2012

Georgia Officials Association (GOA) is conducting a search for prospective rookie umpires for the 2013 season. To be considered for this opportunity, a young man or woman must be 14 years old or older on February 28, 2013 and maintain an overall grade point average of B or better. Have a true passion for the game of baseball and for maintaining the integrity of the game through the objective adjudication of the rules.

An application must be filled out and postmarked by 12/31/12 to be considered for an interview in January. Following the interview process, we will select the very best young people to attend our rookie clinic in late February or early March.

Do you have the commitment and dedication to study and learn the rules; execute proper umpiring mechanics, and the conviction for making a close judgment call? If so, please click the link below to begin the application process.
